Abstract

The article examined opportunities to integrate chemical fibre production and recycling with renewable energy sources. A systems approach, comparative literature analysis, structural analysis, and conceptual modelling were applied. Processing stages were classified by electricity demand, heat requirements, and temperature levels. A model combined solar power, solar thermal collectors, heat pumps, waste heat recovery, and electricity purchase agreements. Indicators were proposed to assess emissions associated with energy consumption and the degree of energy integration. The importance of jointly selecting recycled materials and energy sources was substantiated. Recommendations addressed project design, financing, and environmental reporting, supporting subsequent validation with enterprise energy data.
