Abstract
The article examines the impact of digital transformation on the efficiency and competitiveness of industrial enterprises. The aim is to identify the digital and innovation factors of economic efficiency by comparing enterprises of Uzbekistan with international industrial leaders. The study uses comparative and systems analysis, benchmarking and the case study method, based on financial statements and open data for 2022-2025. An integrated Digital and Innovation Development Index (DIDI) is proposed. It consists of ten equally weighted assessment blocks, ranging from production digitalization and AI/IoT adoption to staff digital competencies and economic effect. Testing of the index showed that Rio Tinto Group (84 points) and Siemens AG (82 points) are digital transformation leaders. NMMC JSC (59 points) is at the developing level, and UzAuto Motors JSC (33 points) is at the basic level. The economic effect of digitalization is found to depend not only on the volume of technology investment, but also on the quality of management, the integration of digital solutions into business processes and staff competencies. The practical value of the work lies in a stage-by-stage digital transformation model with a KPI system and in recommendations for industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan within the “Digital Uzbekistan - 2030” strategy. Keywords
