Abstract

The article examines international experience in the digital transformation of small businesses and the possibilities of applying this experience in Uzbekistan. It analyses the main areas of digital technology adoption, including e-commerce, digital payments, cloud services, data analytics and artificial intelligence. Particular attention is paid to the experience of countries with advanced digital economies and government support measures for small businesses. Based on a comparative analysis, the study identifies approaches that may contribute to further digitalisation of small businesses in Uzbekistan. The study uses systemic, comparative and analytical approaches and compares the experience of the United States, the EU, Japan, China, South America and Africa based on OECD, World Bank and other international materials. The results show that the effect of digitalisation depends not only on technologies but also on digital skills, infrastructure, finance and government support. For Uzbekistan, adapting foreign models to national conditions is preferable to direct copying. Proposals cover digital skills training, e-commerce and digital payments, FinTech use and publicprivate cooperation.
