Abstract
This article examines the theoretical, methodological, organizational, and economic aspects of improving strategic management mechanisms in the process of adapting regional development strategies to local conditions. The study addresses the formation of an effective strategic management system that considers the natural resource, production, investment, and innovation potential of regions, promotes the efficient utilization of local economic opportunities, and enhances the effectiveness of managerial decision-making. Particular attention is given to the role of strategic planning, stakeholder coordination, institutional governance, and performance monitoring and evaluation mechanisms in aligning regional development programs with local economic and institutional conditions. The article also explores priority areas for applying modern management approaches to strengthen regional competitiveness, ensure sustainable economic growth, and achieve long-term strategic objectives. Within the framework of the study, organizational and managerial approaches, along with scientific and practical recommendations, are proposed to improve the effectiveness of regional development strategy implementation and strengthen strategic governance at the regional level. Based on data for the Bukhara region, three scenarios of gross regional product up to 2030 were constructed, and the example of conditional districts showed that the strategy localization index rises from 0.20-0.31 to 0.68-0.80.Keywords
