Abstract

The article examined the foundations of the relationship between implementing innovation management strategies and increasing production efficiency in industrial enterprises. The author synthesised the approaches of J. Schumpeter, J. Tidd and J. Bessant, M. Porter, H. Chesbrough and D. Teece and linked a typology of offensive, defensive, imitative, open and dynamic capability-based strategies with efficiency levers. A coefficient measuring the contribution of innovative output growth to industrial output growth was proposed. Official statistics showed that industrial output reached 1,101.1 trillion soums in 2025, innovative output grew 2.4 times in 2019-2024, and output per implemented innovation doubled. The innovation contribution coefficient amounted to 8.5 percent in 2021-2024. The country’s position in the Global Innovation Index improved from 83rd to 79th place. A staircase mechanism leading from strategy choice to efficiency outcomes was developed, and implementation proposals were substantiated.
