Abstract

The article examined ways to improve the investment strategies of industrial enterprises on the basis of sustainable development principles. The triple bottom line, shared value and natural-resource-based view approaches, together with empirical studies on the link between sustainability and financial performance, were summarised. Using 2025 data of the National Statistics Committee, the share of industrial activities in fixed capital investment and its financing sources were analysed: industrial sectors absorbed 52.7 percent of total investment, and the share of foreign investment reached 47.5 percent. A net present value indicator that accounts for resource savings and environmental costs, an integral sustainability index, a management model for the investment strategy and its assessment indicators were proposed.
