Abstract

The article examined opportunities to improve the economic efficiency of Uzbekistan’s mining enterprises through digital transformation of production processes. Corporate reports and academic literature informed comparative analysis, growth calculations and theoretical synthesis. Net revenue growth at Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company during 2020-2024 was documented, while limitations of attributing this change solely to digitalisation were recognised. An assessment framework combined equipment effectiveness, productivity, downtime, costs and energy consumption. Equipment monitoring, predictive diagnostics, digital twins and artificial intelligence were considered as development priorities. Recommendations addressed integrating production data and planning investments according to project outcomes, supporting informed digitalisation decisions and efficient resource management.
