Abstract
The article develops a scholarly classification of the problems that arise when enterprises reorganize their business processes on the basis of digital technologies and sets out their theoretical and statistical grounding. According to international studies by the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company, more than half of digital transformation projects fail to fully achieve their stated objectives, indicating that such failure is systemic rather than incidental. The problems are grouped into six interrelated categories technological, organizational-managerial, financial, human-resource, regulatory-legal, and methodological-measurement with their cause-and-effect relationships mapped through an Ishikawa diagram and their relative priority shown through an impact/probability matrix. The analysis identifies organizational resistance and the shortage of qualified personnel as the highest-risk problem categories. To empirically validate these conclusions, a Likert-scale survey methodology is proposed, to be correlated with the enterprise digitalization-level indicator. Keywords
