Abstract
The article investigates mechanisms for accelerating Uzbekistanʼs transition to a green economy through the effective utilization of the bioeconomic potential of agricultural waste. The study analyzes opportunities for recovering the economic value of straw, stalks, cotton stalks, livestock waste, fruit and vegetable residues, and other biomass resources generated as a result of the expansion of agricultural production. The research examines the overall dynamics of agricultural production in Uzbekistan during 2015-2024, changes in crop and livestock production, as well as variations in the production volumes of selected major agricultural products. Agricultural output increased 4.4 times over the period, with livestock production growing faster than crop production. A system of indicators for assessing bioeconomic projects and a mechanism for transforming agricultural waste into green economy outcomes are proposed. Particular attention is paid to the potential of agricultural waste as a source of secondary raw materials, bioenergy, organic fertilizers and other value-added products. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating resource efficiency, waste processing, economic value creation and environmental sustainability within a unified bioeconomic framework. Keywords
