Abstract

The article examined the theoretical and methodological foundations for assessing and improving the efficiency of investment activity in industrial enterprises. Investment efficiency was interpreted as a category with allocative, implementation and market components. Using 2025 data of the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the structure of fixed capital investment by financing source and by economic activity was assessed. Manufacturing received 160.5 trillion soums, or 27.2 percent of total investment, while the share of enterprises’ own funds declined to 15.3 percent. A demand-adjusted net present value, a market absorption coefficient for new capacity and a four-block integral efficiency index were proposed. A market-oriented management model presenting the investment process as a five-stage chain was developed. Recommendations were developed to make marketing research a mandatory stage in the selection of investment projects.
