Abstract

The article examined international experience and methodological approaches to developing firms’ strategic flexibility through dynamic capabilities. An integrative literature review, comparative institutional analysis, and content analysis synthesized corporate practices across six countries. Sensing, seizing, and transforming mechanisms were compared, and five assessment approaches were systematized. A conceptual model linked managerial microfoundations, organizational dynamic capabilities, and strategic flexibility outcomes across three levels. A composite index methodology combining subjective and objective indicators was proposed. Interpretation alongside industry environmental dynamism was justified. Recommendations addressed strategic monitoring, delegation, managerial development, and periodic diagnosis. Empirical validation of the model and index was identified as a future research direction.
