Abstract

This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of improving employee incentive systems to increase labor productivity in industrial enterprises. Particular attention is paid to strengthening employeesʼ material and non-material motivation, evaluating work performance, improving incentive criteria, and applying modern motivation mechanisms. The study also develops scientific and practical recommendations for establishing an effective employee incentive system that contributes to higher labor productivity and overall enterprise efficiency. The empirical part draws on data on industrial output and the physical volume index for Namangan city and 11 districts of Namangan region over 2016-2025. Industrial output in the region rose from 3,475.7 billion soums in 2016 to 31,696.2 billion soums in 2024, while growth rates varied sharply across districts. The paper argues that output growth cannot be read directly as labor productivity growth, which requires per-employee indicators. Based on the results, a model linking bonuses to individual, team and enterprise results in a 50-30-20 ratio, digital KPI monitoring and a competence-based development mechanism are proposed.
